Demonic House Possessions: When That Bump in The Night Is More Than a Ghost!

June 5th, 2016 CEO

demon-nightBy Kristi O’Toole

All paranormal investigators can agree there are various types of hauntings with the most common being residual energy hauntings. While residual hauntings are exciting to investigate, if paranormal enthusiasts were being honest they would tell you the thrill of a serious-call the priest- demonic possession type haunting is what they live for.

While perusing the internet during my research, I came across a number of stories where I found myself just shaking my head in disbelief at the absurdity of the tale. But then, on the flip side, there were a few stories that had me clutching my rosaries. These are the stories I’m sharing with you (of course).

Phillip Phillips Sued by American Idol Production Company and Could Lose $6 Million – Entertainment News

June 4th, 2016 CEO

PPBy Kristi O’Toole

Former American Idol winner Phillip Phillips’ legal battle against one of the show’s production companies just got uglier and could cost him $6 million. In a bid to void what he called “oppressive” management, recording and merchandising contracts he signed, the 25-year-old season 11 winner had last year submitted a petition with the California Labor Commissioner, alleging the firm “constantly manipulated” him into “accepting jobs and entering into other transactions” that were for its own benefit.

The Haves and The Have Nots – Spiritual Commentary

June 3rd, 2016 CEO

tuck_nBy Elder Hugh Tarrer

Right now, fixate and focus about what you have in life. From the minutest of things, to the metaphorical mountains, whether good or bad, happy or sad. Did you fixate on what you have, or what you have not? Philippians 4:8 says Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any praise and virtue keep your mind on these things. God tells us how to focus and how to think because he knew how fragile your mental state would be if we did not.

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris Split After 15 Months: New Number Single Looms On Horizon

June 2nd, 2016 CEO

TS CHBy Kristi O’Toole

Pop star Taylor Swift is well known for many reasons, unfortunately for her one of those reasons are her many failed relationships. For those of you keeping count, dust off your journal and add Calvin Harris to the list. After 15 months together the pair call it quits.

It is thought that Harris, who was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles last month, was the one to call things off. A source revealed: “Taylor’s heart was more in it then he was. He started to lose interest over the past few months, but really tried to not just break up.” Ouch, poor Taylor.

The Latest Cover of Jefferson Airplane’s ‘White Rabbit’ Will Leave You Seeing Pink

June 2nd, 2016 CEO

720x405-Grace-Slick_PinkBy Kristi O’Toole

When I read where pop star, Pink covered the song that made Grace Slick a household name, ‘White Rabbit’, I was over like, ‘nope’. In my opinion, much like the late great Janis Joplin there is only one Slick, and the thought of her signature tune potentially being butchered burned me up. However, after forcing myself to listen to Pink’s cover, not only am I willing to admit she slayed it, but I’m also not ashamed to admit she leftme covered with chills!

Deshawn’s Gamer Corner: Steelseries Sensei Mouse

June 2nd, 2016 CEO

SteelSeries_E3_2012By DeShawn Harry

What up Fam! I’m going to give you my review of the Sensei laser gaming mouse by Steelseries. I’ve been using this mouse for a little over 2 years now and I absolutely love it. Before the Sensei I used a Razr mouse that I did enjoy and I feel is the most comfortable mouse I’ve used, but the style and precision of the Sensei is by far my favorite thing about the Sensei. First things first the packaging, I think they did a wonderful job with the packaging making it a book style box. Information on the mouse on one side and clear plastic on the other so you can see the product before you even open it up. Even having pro gamer testimonies on the side to help your decision, if you were on the fence after you picked up the box.

Fur Babies Corner: Don’t Blame Me…

June 1st, 2016 CEO

Puppies and KittensBy Delsie Lewis

Most all of the rescues in NE Oklahoma know each other and talk to each other about animals that need rescue. It has been puppy and kitten season for a couple of months, this year seems longer than most have. Rescues many times deal with the same people. Many times people will call a rescue to advise them of the litter of puppies or kittens they have and need to find homes for. People with litters get worried they are going to have to feed all of these babies, suddenly their “emergency” becomes someone else’s problem. They HAVE to be gone by tomorrow, it seems many people that have unwanted litters get evicted.

Influence: Tony Bennett and his Mentor Frank Sinatra

May 30th, 2016 CEO

IMG_20160529_215027237By Jerry Pearce

On January 27th, 2013, I was seated in the next to last row of Prudential Hall at the beautiful New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey. Because of a lovely young lady, I was there to receive a belated Christmas gift: seeing Tony Bennett in concert. After an opening by his equally talented singing daughter Antonia, the booming recorded voice of Frank Sinatra emanated through the cavernous auditorium: “This is my man, this cat, and I’m going to say it again, he’s the greatest singer in the world, Mr. Tony Bennett!”

Tony took to the stage and performed for no less than an hour. When we thought he was leaving the stage for intermission, he reappeared and yelled to the audience “Should we keep going?!?” The audience whipped into a frenzy and Tony darted back to center stage, carousing through another series of songs associated with his career before ending with his famous “I Left My Heart In San Francisco.” All in all, one of the finest concerts I’ve ever experienced, performed by a man who at that time was nearing eighty-seven years old and yet moved with the strength and vitality of a person much younger.

Mega Riffs Vol.7 “Back In the Saddle” by Aerosmith

May 28th, 2016 CEO

AerosmithBy Ian Murphy

“I’m baaaaack!” Time to take a break from the real heavy stuff and get down to some raunchy and raucous Rock and Roll! Who better than the mighty Aerosmith to kick it off? Wailing guitars, stomping drums and a shriek like a bat out of hell, “Back In the Saddle” is THE quintessential rock song. It’s got it all! The band even tried to make it authentic by using a real bullwhip during the intro to get the “crack” just right, and injured themselves in the process. Determination!

‘No-asis’: Liam Gallagher Calls Brother Noel a “Potato,” Declares “Fu*k Oasis”

May 28th, 2016 CEO

For a minute there, it seemed like the infamous feud between Liam and Noel Gallagher had finally subsided. Early last year, the two appeared to have buried the hatchet, and they separately even began talking about an Oasis reunion in a vaguely positive light. Well, so much for that lovely thought, as Liam apparently now thinks his brother is no more than a spud.

Bermuda Triangle: Paranormal Phenomena Or Terrifying Coincidence?

May 26th, 2016 CEO

Bermuda-Triangle-652734By Kristi O’Toole

You won’t find it on any official map and you won’t know when you cross the line, but according to some people, the Bermuda Triangle is a very real place where dozen of ships, planes and people have disappeared with no good explanation. Since a magazine first coined the phrase “Bermuda Triangle” in 1964, the mystery has continued to attract attention. When you dig deeper into most cases, though, they’re much less mysterious. Either they were never in the area to begin with, they were actually found, or there’s a reasonable explanation for their disappearance.

Julius LaRosa: Remembering A Gentleman Of Song

May 25th, 2016 CEO

IMG_20160524_203126491By Jerry Pearce

When we think of famous singers of standards that emerged and endured from the 1950s onward, two names automatically spring to the average lover of music: Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. While these two legendary singers are undoubtedly at the top of their field, there was a bevy of other pop standard singers that followed them throughout this decade, a high-class group of accomplished vocalists that included (in no order in terms of greatness) Dick Haymes, David Allyn, Al Martino, Johnny Holiday, Jimmy Roselli, Johnny Hartman, and Jackie Paris.

While all of these singers enjoyed immense popularity as headliners and record makers in their own right, it’s debatable as to whether they ever achieved the level of popularity that the two “leaders” would surmount. There was another singer (who always cited Sinatra as his influence) amongst this group whose rich baritone voice had a quality and style all unto its own, his voice and career sustained well into his seventies. His name was Julius LaRosa, and we lost him two weeks ago at the age of eighty-six.
