Naomi Judd wants nothing to do with reality TV stars like Ray J and Brandi Glanville, which is why she tried to quit “My Kitchen Rules”, the cooking competition she’s shooting with them. Naomi went on the attack on Facebook claiming producers misled her about who her competition would be on the show. The other contestants include Andrew Dice Clay and his wife, Glanville and LeAnn Rimes’ ex Dean Sheremet, Ray J and Brandi, and Lance Bass and his mom Diane.

There was a time not so long ago when people were inherently normal and ran away from ghosts and all things spooky, but in more recent times it seems folks just throw all caution to the wind and seek out the undead, ghosts and goblins that creep the earth.
Not that I’m judging anyone. Truth be told I’d spend more money on a hotel room if I thought it came with a scenic ‘boo’, but then I’m the polar opposite of normal.

Sad news to report… Emilio Navaira has died at the age of 53. The New Braunfels Police Department stated that family members found Navaira unconscious at home at about 8:20pm last night. EMT’s began life saving measures and transported him to Resolute Health Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He is credited along with the late Selena, as introducing Tejano music into the mainstream back in the 1990s.
NewzBreaker extends our condolences to the Navaira family in their time of grief.

It’s time to go back to the vault of the almighty Black Sabbath for another installment of Meg Riffs! Today’s pick is the ever-so-slithery “Electric Funeral”. Found on the 1970’s blockbuster Paranoid album, “Electric Funeral” opens side two on with a doom-laden paean to nuclear holocaust. Fun, warm and fuzzy stuff, eh? However, nobody does doom like Ozzy and Co. and this classic does not disappoint. Lyricist Geezer Butler paints a grisly and graphic picture of an Armageddon that may come to pass if we are irresponsible with nuclear weaponry. Yet, as effective as Butler’s lyrics are in bringing this into focus, it is guitarist Tony Iommi’s sinister and serpentine riff that is the dominant feature of this tune. The repetitive and at times lulling melody perfectly sets the tone for Butler’s horrific tale.

Irish singer Sinead O’Connor was reported missing Monday a day after she went on a bike ride in the posh Chicago suburb of Wilmette and did not return. O’Connor, 49, was last seen around 6 a.m. Sunday, police said.
“A caller has expressed concern for her well-being,” the Wilmette Police Department news release said.

Sad news to report… Popular crooner Julius La Rosa has died at the age of 86 this past Thursday, which was confirmed by his wife Rosemary. LaRosa reinvented himself as a television, stage and nightclub performer after his young career was thrown into turmoil by a bizarre and humiliating on-the-air firing by Arthur Godfrey before a national audience. I actually talked with LaRosa a few times over the years and he was very nice. When I told him I felt that his cover of “How About Me” was his finest vocal he responded with, “Thanks Brad, Jerry Lewis said the same thing and I agree”.

“Anthony is on his way to the hospital right now … there’s a medical thing that happened and he needed to deal with it,” bassist Flea told the crowd at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater Saturday. Red Hot Chili Peppers were forced to cancel their Saturday performance at the annual The World Famous KROQ’s Weenie Roast in Irvine, California at the last minute after Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized. The singer was at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre when he began experiencing “extreme stomach pain,” a KROQ rep said. Kiedis was then transported from the venue to a nearby hospital.

The Daily Mail was able to get ahold of what the four houses will be in the American version of Hogwarts, Ilvermorny. Here is what they said: A software engineer stumbled across their names hidden in code for the Pottermore website.
Federico Ian Cervantez accidentally discovered that the four houses of Ilvermorny are Horned Serpent, Wampus, Thunderbird and Pukwudgie.
They also offer a little description of each of these houses:
The Horned Serpent is described as ‘dragon-like serpents with horns and long teeth. They are often associated with or said to control the weather, particularly rain, lightning, and thunder. Magical abilities ascribed to them include shape-shifting, invisibility, and hypnotic powers’.

Azealia Banks’ Twitter account appears to have been suspended following her recent racist rant against Zayn Malik. As previously reported, Banks fired racial insults at Zayn Malik, calling him a ‘Curry Scented B—-‘ (Malik is of Pakistani descent) after she perceived that the former One Direction member had copied her work in his new music video. She also turned on 14 year-old Disney star Skai Jackson when she tweeted about the insults suggesting Banks ‘simmer down’. The tweets were later deleted.

My wife and I were watching Steve Harvey yesterday, and they had a battle of the sexes, round table debate between men and women both married and single. They debated on a bevy of topics but the one that intrigued my wife and I most was: Should women take their husband’s last name? I may be in the minority here but I must admit I wasn’t surprised. Statistical data supports the opinion that women want to keep their name because they don’t want to lose their independence.
