If I Never Sing Another Song: Matt Monro – NewzBreaker Music Video of the Day

What The Heck Misty Beck? Never Forget 9/11 A Day That Changed The World Forever!

On September 11, 2001 this nation witnessed the deadliest terrorist attack in world history. Terrorist group Al Qaeda led by Osama Bin Laden claimed responsibility for the coordinated attacks which left 2996 dead including the perpetrators, and over 6000 injured. This was the most devastating attack on US soil since Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
Although the initial death toll once stood at 2996 there have been several people who worked or lived in lower Manhattan at the time of attacks that have been diagnosed with cancer as a result from exposure to toxins. A reported number of 1400 9/11 rescue workers who responded to the scene days and even months after the attacks have since died including unborn babies. This leaves the actual death toll not only unknown 15 years later, but unfortunately still rising as each person loses their battle with cancer.

Tommy Gooch: Comedy, New Jersey, Frank Sinatra, Donald Trump & More…

Exclusive Interview by “Bad” Brad Berkwitt
“Oh geeze my whole act is basically self-deprecating and satirically autobiographical! I definitely feel I bring out my best comedy that way. Comes natural to me!”—Tommy Gooch
Being half Italian, I was brought up on Italian singers and Italian comedians. The singers always had a unique way of interpreting a lyric, whereas the comedians have a pacing in their comedy that also makes them unique as well. Recently, through Social Media, a platform I use regularly to promote both NewzBreaker & Ringside Report, I came across a video called “Bread & Milk” by Vic Dibitetto. While watching a few of his videos, I came across the gentleman in my column today, Tommy Gooch.
Gooch, is yet another example of an Italian comedian with that pacing in his comedy that cracks me up. If you have not seen his act, Google him and you will be on the floor as I was laughing…

Suntan Charlie: A Word In For Bill Miller

In the early months of 1958, Frank Sinatra was in preparation at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, gearing up for what would be his sixth recorded collaboration with arranger Nelson Riddle, the poignantly beautiful “Frank Sinatra Sings For Only The Lonely.” Sinatra would later cite the album as his favorite; both he and Riddle would later claim at various times that it contains their best work together as musical partners.
At this point of the 1950s, Sinatra was deep into his obsession with the “concept album,” a formula in which he recorded a collection of songs that were based around a certain theme or feeling, a technique he had begun at Columbia Records some twelve years before and perfected at Capitol. With the songs this time based around the emotions of lonlieness, Sinatra chose a program of twelve songs echoing the sentiments of lost love.

The Jersey Devil: A Legendary Beast Or A Case Of Mistaken Identity?

The historic states along America’s Atlantic Seaboard have given birth to hundreds of ghostly tales and unusual stories over the years. One of the strangest is undoubtedly that of the Jersey Devil, a creature that is believed by some to be a mythical creature and by others, a real-life monster of flesh and blood. Its origins date back to when New Jersey was still a British colony.

“Bread & Milk was the video that went viral and started this whole Social Media ride. It’s up to 15 million views and counting.”—Vic Dibitetto
The power of Social Media is one that I use for both my websites NewzBreaker & Ringside Report to the full advantage. It truly is a media tool at our hands these days which if used correctly, can net some big results… This is where I came across Vic Dibitetto, a man who defines hilarious and uses Social Media to his full advantage, where he has become extremely popular around the world.
To me, Vic, is the mixture of Italian Comedian Pat Cooper & Jewish Comedian Don Rickles. And let me tell you, in the “Book of Berkwitt” that is a huge compliment. His timing, facial gestures and never knowing what the hell he will say next, will have you on the floor. If Vic is in your town performing, go see him. You will not be disappointed…

She’s Back and We’re Gaga For Perfect Illusion – Breaking Entertainment News

Lady Gaga is back, and we couldn’t be happier!
The much anticipated new solo single from Lady Gaga, “Perfect Illusion”, her first in about three years, and following the disappointing commercial performance of her last album “Artpop” came out Friday.
Gaga has taken a new sonic turn on the track, which was produced by Mark Ronson (“Uptown Funk”), Bloodpop, and Kevin Parker of the rock band Tame Impala. It pares things down to a rawer, more natural instrumentation than the dance pop hits “Bad Romance” or “Poker Face.”
20 Years Later and We’re Still Looking For Blues Clues

Every mid-nineties parent knows who Blue, Magenta and of course Steve are. Every day we welcomed this trio into our home and watched helplessly as they tried to discover what Blue was telling them. Some of us are guilty of blue paw print birthday cakes that stained our children’s mouths for days…not me of course.
This month marks 20 years since the show debuted (feeling old yet? ) and I imagine some are curious as to what old Steve has been up to since he was replaced by that awful ‘Joe’. Aw c’mon, no one ever liked that guy.

Pearce’s Picks: Matt Monro

“If I had to choose three of the finest male vocalists in the singing business, Matt would be one of them.” — Frank Sinatra.
This week’s selection on “Pearce’s Picks,” is dedicated not to a series of specific albums by a certain artist, but to the artist himself. Like so many of the vocalists of his era, the name Matt Monro is one that deserves to be mentioned once again. If his name doesn’t sound familiar to you, you best be warned to keep reading, and if the name sounds foreign to you, there’s probably a good reason. Born and raised in a suburb of London, England, Monro was not only considered Great Britain’s answer to Frank Sinatra, but also, one of the greatest voices ever to grace record players and stages across the vast Atlantic Ocean and throughout the world.
