September 9th, 2016 CEO

IMG_20160909_171146

“Bread & Milk was the video that went viral and started this whole Social Media ride. It’s up to 15 million views and counting.”—Vic Dibitetto

The power of Social Media is one that I use for both my websites NewzBreaker & Ringside Report to the full advantage. It truly is a media tool at our hands these days which if used correctly, can net some big results… This is where I came across Vic Dibitetto, a man who defines hilarious and uses Social Media to his full advantage, where he has become extremely popular around the world.

To me, Vic, is the mixture of Italian Comedian Pat Cooper & Jewish Comedian Don Rickles. And let me tell you, in the “Book of Berkwitt” that is a huge compliment. His timing, facial gestures and never knowing what the hell he will say next, will have you on the floor. If Vic is in your town performing, go see him. You will not be disappointed…

Ladies and Gentlemen, NewzBreaker welcomes Vic Dibitetto….

She’s Back and We’re Gaga For Perfect Illusion – Breaking Entertainment News

September 9th, 2016 CEO

gaga headerBy Kristi O’Toole

Lady Gaga is back, and we couldn’t be happier!

The much anticipated new solo single from Lady Gaga, “Perfect Illusion”, her first in about three years, and following the disappointing commercial performance of her last album “Artpop” came out Friday.

Gaga has taken a new sonic turn on the track, which was produced by Mark Ronson (“Uptown Funk”), Bloodpop, and Kevin Parker of the rock band Tame Impala. It pares things down to a rawer, more natural instrumentation than the dance pop hits “Bad Romance” or “Poker Face.”

September 9th, 2016 CEO

property-header-blues-clues-desktop-portrait-2xBy Kristi O’Toole

Every mid-nineties parent knows who Blue, Magenta and of course Steve are. Every day we welcomed this trio into our home and watched helplessly as they tried to discover what Blue was telling them. Some of us are guilty of blue paw print birthday cakes that stained our children’s mouths for days…not me of course.

This month marks 20 years since the show debuted (feeling old yet? ) and I imagine some are curious as to what old Steve has been up to since he was replaced by that awful ‘Joe’. Aw c’mon, no one ever liked that guy.

“If I had to choose three of the finest male vocalists in the singing business, Matt would be one of them.” — Frank Sinatra.

This week’s selection on “Pearce’s Picks,” is dedicated not to a series of specific albums by a certain artist, but to the artist himself. Like so many of the vocalists of his era, the name Matt Monro is one that deserves to be mentioned once again. If his name doesn’t sound familiar to you, you best be warned to keep reading, and if the name sounds foreign to you, there’s probably a good reason. Born and raised in a suburb of London, England, Monro was not only considered Great Britain’s answer to Frank Sinatra, but also, one of the greatest voices ever to grace record players and stages across the vast Atlantic Ocean and throughout the world.

September 2nd, 2016 CEO

On April 21, 2016 the world lost musical genius and icon Prince Rogers Nelson. He was just 57 years old. Prince’s death shocked the press and his adoring fans. The news of his passing sparked several impromptu city parties like the one thrown by Spike Lee in New York. We saw monuments, city skylines, bridges, airports, stadiums, and government buildings light up purple all around the world for our precious Prince. Surely he saw the earths love from way up there in the Heavens and Stars.

Let me tell you a little about Prince and I. We loved each other very much and some of his most notable songs were written just for me.

The Cowman Of Copalis Beach Part III

September 2nd, 2016 CEO

cowman3By Kristi O’Toole

Before the two men headed off into the woods, Jon wanted to feed the families pigs. He grabbed the feed and headed off towards the pen which was located about 100ft from the home behind the barn. As he approached, Jon became concerned because there was no noise coming the pigs. Typically, they would squeal and carry on as food approached. When Jon arrived at the pen he was shocked to see it empty. There were no holes or damage to the gate, the pigs were just gone. Something had the strength to lift two pigs over the fence and carry them off.

In Mid-July Playboy Playmate of 2015 Dani Mather’s posted a picture on social media body shaming a woman in the locker room at her gym. There are several things wrong with this story. I’ll start with Ms. Mather’s who indeed is the culprit in this unfortunate incident. I actually knew of Dani before her social media fall from grace. I Listen to KLOS on occasion while commuting to work in the morning. It’s the Heidi and Frank Show. She use to work for the station.

The late IceBerg Slim who was a cultural icon in the pimping game and once out, went on to be a successful published author as many know.  Well, his daughter Misty Beck, is also a published author and a heck of writer in her own regard. With that said, we welcome her as the newest Feature Entertainment Writer on NewzBreaker.  Her column is called “What The Heck Misty Beck?” In it, she pulls no punches and will run the rails with different topics. When you see a byline with Misty’s name on it, you will want to stop, drop and read it immediately.  OK, so we borrowed some of that line from the old Dick Van Dyke commercials.

Foolish Heart: The Lost Albums of Frank Sinatra

August 30th, 2016 CEO

IMG_20160828_213836By Jerry Pearce

On June 6, 1988, Frank Sinatra entered the recording facilities at Evergreen Studios in Los Angeles, California, for what should have been a momentous occasion; for the first time in nearly two years, Sinatra was going to be recording some new music with a live orchestra. In this case, Frank had with him some fantastic big band charts newly written (and conducted at this session) by longtime collaborator and orchestrator Billy May. The orchestra was world class, including Sinatra regulars and semi-regulars Bill Miller, Irving Cottler, Emil Richards, as well as notable players like Snooky Young and Jack Sheldon, who would play memorable trumpet solos throughout the first selection recorded that evening, a swinging arrangement of the Victor Young-Ned Washington song “My Foolish Heart.” Other tunes, including “Cry Me A River” and “If Ever I Would Leave You,” were also on the roster. The album that was being planned was tentatively titled “Digital Sinatra,” with a nod to the new technical wonders that were being achieved in modern recording.
