They say they die in 3’s and it appears once again, there is merit to that old folklore with Dick Gregory, Sonny Landham and now Jerry Lewis. He was a comedian, director, host for many years of the Muscular Dystrophy Labor Day Telethon and half of the highly successful Martin and Lewis act, which was the biggest in the country for ten years. Lewis died in Las Vegas at the age of 91.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist John Katsilometes reported that he died at his home at 9:15 a.m. and his agent confirmed the news.
Predator Actor Sonny Landham Dead at 76

Character actor Sonny Landham who may be best remembered for his role as Billy Sole in the 1987 movie Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger has died at the age of 76 last Thursday. I also enjoyed him in the 1982 movie, 48 Hours, with Eddie Murphy, where he played criminal, Billy Bear.
Landham’s sister, Dawn Boehler, told the AP that the actor died from congestive heart failure in a Lexington, Ky., hospital.

Our legends in entertainment and humanity keep leaving us. Yesterday comic genius and Civil Rights Activist Dick Gregory died at the age of 84 in Washington, DC. Gregory, was a pioneer in black satire who took a cool brand of humor into being a strong force on the civil rights front for many years which at times, he put his health on the line.

In the DMV area we have several commuting options: buses, trains, van pools and Slug lines! Slug-lines are a free commuting option which allows people to pick up passengers from designated locations and during rush-hour to use the 95-395 North HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes to DC.
Slug lines started in the DC area over 40 years ago in 1975! A 40 year old, free transportation system is bound to have some rules, because you know people have zero common sense.
Slugging has about 20 rules or “Slugging Etiquette”, most of these are the same rules you had when you were a little kid riding in the car with your grumpy older sibling. Here are a few:
– No eating or drinking in the car! Don’t you know how hard it is to clean up bacon, egg and cheese biscuit crumbs!
– Slugs do not talk: Seriously, no need to make awkward conversations at 6:30am or at 4:30pm. No one cares!

A majority of our society has to go to work to make money. We spend a large percentage of our lives in a place of business surrounded by people we fucking don’t like! Let’s discuss some of the worst office offender and are you one of them?
The most common offender in my office is the Speakerphone conversationalist. This is the person that puts EVERY damn call on speaker. Not only is every call on speaker, the volume is turned up to 100 so the sounds travels through every cubical within a 50 yard radius. This person also feels like they must yell into the base of the phone, like they’re calling plays at an NFL game. I feel like since I’m forced to listen to the conversation, it should be perfectly acceptable for me to participate in the calls too. Why not? I’d love to tell Pam what I’d like for dinner tonight, or chime in about how to punish little Johnny for using up the family data plan.

Glen Campbell, who touched hearts and souls with his 21 Top 40 hits including “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Wichita Lineman” and “By the Time I Get to Phoenix,” died Tuesday. He was 81. A rep for Universal Music Group, Campbell’s record label, confirmed the singer’s death to Rolling Stone. During a career that spanned six decades, Campbell sold over 45 million records. In 1968, one of his biggest years, he outsold the Beatles.
