How else do you explain the multiple hurricanes that exceed their category strengths hitting some places back to back without recovery? What reason is there for earthquakes to hit the same country twice without losing much strength? Smokey the Bear can’t prevent the forest fires and his tears are hardly enough to put them out…and that is just one continent!

Then to add sick, twisted insult to injury the leader of the free world is pissing on the rest of the leaders in the world, every chance he gets. It is possible that the only thing saving us from war is the fact that they know like most Americans, that we are dealing with an old senile idiot? We don’t want war. His mouth is writing checks he thinks our asses are going to pay for but much like the President of Mexico, John McCain, Maxine Waters and Stephen Curry he has been met with an emphatic Hell No!

Veteran Actor Bernie Casey Dead At 78 – Cause of Death Revealed

Bernie Casey, who first found fame in the NFL as a receiver and than after his football career on the small and large screen died this past Tuesday at the age of 78. Casey acted in such films as including “Revenge of the Nerds,” “Brian’s Song” and “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka” to name a few.

His friend Wren T. Brown said the cause was complications of a stroke.

In preschool, my son came home and asked me when I would start to look old like the other parents? My response was “Not for a very long time.” I’m hot enough to where the other moms at school don’t want to be my friend but not hot enough to be an Instagram model. The side eye is blatant when I show up to practice in heels. Yes, bitches, I work all day and rush straight to practice in my work attire. I don’t get the luxury of living in yoga pants and hanging out at Chik-fil-A. That was one of my first experiences with meeting other moms; I was already the odd woman out. I’m a full-time parent, zero time runner, we had nothing in common. They asked me if I was babysitting my own kid? To some that may sound like a compliment, but to me it sounds like a snide insult. No, I wasn’t 12 when I had him and I won’t apologize for my taut skin.

Gangster and heist movies took off as a genre back in the 1930s. While films such as The Godfather, Goodfellas and The Departed are still popular in 2017, they are relatively recent movies produced in an era where technology has advanced massively. Still, it was as far back as the 1930s when gang and mafia-related films first started to gain the attention of the public in the United States of America.

One of the best gangster movies of all time is Little Caesar. A 1931 American pre-Code crime film, it centred on a hoodlum who rises through the ranks of organised crime until he reaches its upper echelons. The film was actually based on the novel of the same name by William R. Burnett and is more popular than the book. Received well by the critics, Little Caesar aptly portrayed the social situation at the time and is worth a watch even now if someone wants to get a picture of what life was in the 1930s.

I have fond memories of my dad and me watching boxing on the weekends when I was younger. We’d watch old fights and new ones, compare our favorite boxers and discuss the different fighting styles. Back then, my father would watch them all, he had favorites in every weight class, but I preferred to watch the smaller faster guys because it made for a more interesting fight. As I grew up, I started watching less Boxing and more of the UFC because I saw how crooked the sport was becoming. I remember feeling dissatisfied after each fight, even the great boxers were disappointing. I remember feeling so upset with Mike Tyson after the “Ear” incident, or the Mayweather, JR. sucker punch to Victor Ortiz, that shit still pisses me off! All that drama in the ring and out, sullied the excitement of the sport for me. If I wanted to watch drama with a side of fighting, I could just watch the WWE or Jerry Springer.

A few things connected to Louisiana popped up on my radar screen recently, reminding me that my home state remains a place of never-ending interest and intrigue. This is especially true regarding its well-documented history of crime and corruption.

To Be Rudely Polite About It…

The only way to get people to be polite these days is to be rude about it. Then it seems that you can’t be polite without it quickly escalating into being mistaken for hardcore flirting. The only happy medium is to be a bit of a jerk.

I can’t stand people, especially children, that don’t say Please & Thank You! It’s a really simple way to acknowledge kindness but it can also get you more than what you asked for. One would think at this point in human history, common courtesy is just a built in behavior but it’s not. It’s more like a generational flaw at this point for so many. You can always tell if a person is just being rude or they truly just didn’t notice. But how many times have you been walking into a store and a person didn’t hold the door but they definitely saw you right behind them? I’m the jerk that’s not afraid to put them on blast and get loud…Thank you for holding the door!

Veteran actor Harry Dean Stanton has died at the age of 91 earlier today at Cedars- Sinai Hospital in L.A. Stanton starred in such film classics as “Godfather II,” “Pretty in Pink,” “Alien” and “Escape from New York to name just a few.

When you look movies set to dominate the 2017 worldwide box office, there are beauties and there are beasts. How did Fate of the Furious make over a billion dollars while one of the best films of the year, Logan Lucky, bombed? I’ll tell you how: the public (as a whole) doesn’t give a damn about quality; it wants spectacle; it wants CGI cars being chased by a submarine; it doesn’t want (or at least need) Oscar-worthy storytelling.

People now look at movies and ask themselves: is it worth spending cash and seeing in theatre or can I wait and download it at home? It’s a sad state of affairs, but reality is that the public wants to see super heroes, Vin Diesel, and Disney characters on the big screen, while quality sits on the sidelines waiting and collecting awards. Right Moonlight?

Frank Vincent, an Italian – American character actor who uttered the famous line “Now go home and get your fuc*^% shine box” to Joe Pesci’s character Tommy D. in Goodfellas, died today during open heart surgery, TMZ reports. He was 78.

Vincent was a beloved actor who made a name for himself playing notoriously tough characters, like Billy Batts in “Goodfellas” and Frank Marino in “Casino.”

“Irma is a MONSTER Hurricane and she is going to devour Florida, everyone is going to damn near die!” Living in Tampa, FL that’s actually pretty close to the media coverage I’ve heard every day for the last 3 weeks about Hurricane Irma.

Yes, Irma was a record breaking, huge hurricane. Yes, with a category 5, death and destruction will be on the menu. Yes, everyone was calling, texting or on Facebook asking if I’m ready to die? In America we have a fond way with sensationalism that in certain situations can be helpful. Making sure the severity of the situation is anticipated, I have no doubt that scaring the hell out of people to evacuate saved thousands of lives. In the places that were hit harder, my heart and prayers are for those who suffered the death and destruction of Irma.

September 11th 1961. Things were coming to an end between Frank Sinatra and his record label of the preceding eight years, Capitol, and Sinatra couldn’t be happier. Fully immersed for more than a year in the amalgam of his own record label, Reprise, the singer couldn’t wait to fulfill the final recording project of his contract with Capitol, and while he was anxious to get the work over with, the album that would result would show no sign of rush on the part of the vocalist.

While his last album recorded for Capitol was a swingin,’ stompin,’ set of big band tunes, his third with arranger Billy May (Come Swing With Me!), his last album for Capitol would consist of tender, loving ballads and saloon songs, the songs Sinatra cemented his reputation on.
The album’s title: “Point of No Return.”
