Actor Jay Thomas of Murphy Brown & Cheers Fame Dead at 69

Jay Thomas, a very funny comic and character actor who co-starred on hit shows “Cheers” and “Murphy Brown” has died after a battle with cancer, according to his publicist Tom Estey. Thomas was 69. “Jay Thomas was one of the funniest and kindest men I have had the honor to call both client and friend for 25 years plus. He will be dearly missed by so many,” Estey said in a statement to CNN.
NewzBreaker extends our condolences to the Thomas Family in their time of grief.

The craziness of Rose Nylund has actually begun to make sense and we would be Besties for life living in this country right now. Rose is a character from the old tv show Golden Girls and she was always a little off and sincerely nostalgic about the strange, but wonderful town she’s from, 
St. Olaf. Life was simple and there were still good hardworking people there like “The Amazing Shapiro” who is an OB/MAG, an obstetrician magician. They had the strangest happiest holidays like Day of the Princess Pig and the Day of Wheat when everyone dresses up as sandwiches. Apparently, if you forgot to put “a piece of cheese” between you and your mate you end up pregnant! Rose even fell in love and married Charlie, an insurance salesman that believed a trip to the bank was always more fun if you wear a ski mask.

I’m a single black female with a child. According to some lame ass statistics I would be considered the least desirable mate. WELL…..according to “Tati’s World” a world-renowned publication here at NewzBreaker, I’m an extremely desirable mate and I’m very confused on why I haven’t found the BEST person for me. Notice I said the “best person” and not the “right person.” To me the “right person” seems generic and unattainable, the “best person” is someone that will complement my life.
The right person always looks good on paper. This person probably meets all the requirements on my “wish list” and seems too good to be true, almost intimidating. It is intimidating until I start to wonder, why the hell is this person single? They must be crazy! I don’t mean fun and eccentric type crazy, I mean restraining order type crazy. If they aren’t crazy then there is a high probability that this person is emotionally slow , with an emotional IQ of 0. My kid’s goldfish has more emotions then this person, no thanks!

In the first season of GHOSTS OF SHEPHERDSTOWN, a surge of 911 calls reporting what appeared to be supernatural activity in Shepherdstown, W.V., inspired Police Chief Michael King to enlist the help of paranormal investigators to figure out why the town had become such a hotbed for hauntings. Nick Groff, Bill Hartley, and Elizabeth Saint, with the help of local historian Dana Mitchell and psychic medium Lorie Johnson, uncovered clues linking the rash of mysterious incidents to Shepherdstown’s historic waterways and a woman murdered on accusations of witchcraft in the town’s early history. The first season finale culminated in a ceremony on the Potomac River to cleanse the town of its “Witches Curse,” which seemed to settle the ghostly activity… at least, within its own borders. Soon, Chief King began hearing from his colleagues in neighboring police jurisdictions that the mysterious happenings had spread to their nearby towns, suggesting that Shepherdstown is only one piece to a much larger paranormal puzzle.

Comic Legend Jerry Lewis Dead at 91 – Breaking News

They say they die in 3’s and it appears once again, there is merit to that old folklore with Dick Gregory, Sonny Landham and now Jerry Lewis. He was a comedian, director, host for many years of the Muscular Dystrophy Labor Day Telethon and half of the highly successful Martin and Lewis act, which was the biggest in the country for ten years. Lewis died in Las Vegas at the age of 91.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist John Katsilometes reported that he died at his home at 9:15 a.m. and his agent confirmed the news.
Predator Actor Sonny Landham Dead at 76

Character actor Sonny Landham who may be best remembered for his role as Billy Sole in the 1987 movie Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger has died at the age of 76 last Thursday. I also enjoyed him in the 1982 movie, 48 Hours, with Eddie Murphy, where he played criminal, Billy Bear.
Landham’s sister, Dawn Boehler, told the AP that the actor died from congestive heart failure in a Lexington, Ky., hospital.
Dick Gregory Legendary Comedian and Civil Rights Activist Dead at 84

Our legends in entertainment and humanity keep leaving us. Yesterday comic genius and Civil Rights Activist Dick Gregory died at the age of 84 in Washington, DC. Gregory, was a pioneer in black satire who took a cool brand of humor into being a strong force on the civil rights front for many years which at times, he put his health on the line.

In the DMV area we have several commuting options: buses, trains, van pools and Slug lines! Slug-lines are a free commuting option which allows people to pick up passengers from designated locations and during rush-hour to use the 95-395 North HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes to DC.
Slug lines started in the DC area over 40 years ago in 1975! A 40 year old, free transportation system is bound to have some rules, because you know people have zero common sense.
Slugging has about 20 rules or “Slugging Etiquette”, most of these are the same rules you had when you were a little kid riding in the car with your grumpy older sibling. Here are a few:
– No eating or drinking in the car! Don’t you know how hard it is to clean up bacon, egg and cheese biscuit crumbs!
– Slugs do not talk: Seriously, no need to make awkward conversations at 6:30am or at 4:30pm. No one cares!

“Love Thy Neighbor”
There are 7 billion people on earth and counting so you would think there are as many ways to “Love Thy Neighbor” as there are neighbors by now. The truth is there are a lot less and people are starting to like being left alone, maybe for good reason.
Back in the day if there was a new neighbor they were welcomed with warm, delicious apple pies and cookies. People made it a happy point in their day to stop by and introduce themselves and their family because everyone needs to feel welcomed in a new environment. While it was a way to show love and kindness, especially to newcomers in that area, it was also the nicest way to run “The Neighborhood Watch” on a stranger.
