As reported through the AP, the 80-year-old Charles Manson was issued a wedding license to wed 26-year-old Afton Elaine Burton. Further, Burton has spent the last nine years working to exonerate Mason. For the moment, put aside the fact that Charles Mason is in prison because of his involvement is one the most horrific mass murders in American history. That’s right, step back from the obvious for a few moments.

Troubled star Amanda Bynes is at the center of yet another disturbing incident that’s adding to the evidence of her continuing mental instability, and this time it was captured on audio tape, making it the first time one of her wild tirades has been recorded.
According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, last week Bynes launched into a venomous rant describing how she’d like to murder her parents, cut her mother’s wrists and burn their house to the ground. She then goes on to lambaste a personal friend with homophobic insults, screaming at him “you’re so gay it hurts my feelings”. The crazy and disturbing outburst was recorded by one of Bynes’ roommates as they traveled in a car.

In another sad attempt to gain public attention, Kim Kardashian exposes her ass for the world to see. Well, most of the world already saw her ass and a whole lot of other things when her sex tape was released. In an odd pairing, the Mazola Oil people have sponsored Kim Kardashian. Does she even cook?
It seems odd that women across America would admire Kim. She does not really do anything. What do educated women think of other women who use sex as a tool to get through life? Sure she is making millions, but what about beautiful women in corporate America who are paid less for doing the same job as their male counterparts? Is Kim Kardashian not another slap in the face. A visual warning that women do not belong in the workplace? Should those women just give up their jobs and start making sex tapes?

Since the landing of NASA’s Mars Rover ‘Opportunity’, many seemingly anomalous things have been documented of the surface of the Red Planet, from small rodent-like creatures, strange lights and far-off Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO), and even objects that appear within range of the rover’s cameras one day, then disappear the next, giving the unsettling feeling that someone, or something, patrols nearby.
The latest anomaly recorded on NASA video appears to show an ancient artifact left over from a civilization that once thrived on Mars, but has since, supposedly, disappeared.

One has to wonder as more big retailers continue to get hit by hackers. Hackers are crafty, and Home Depot is puzzled that such a brazen attack has not been seen before. Well hello! Technology moves lightning fast, and hackers are frontrunners in producing new technology to get what they want.

It is very disappointing that the entire Amanda Bynes situation has continued to play out for as long as it has. This is not a person who cannot afford help. She has amassed a $5.7 Million fortune. She has been in a treatment facility. She has been to court. She continues to walk the streets of LA living off of gift cards that her parents deliver to a court-appointed lawyer. She has no power. She cannot even hire an attorney to defend her. And still she continues to draw headlines still.

In a story run by the Huffington Post, Republican Scott Rigell explains his case. The issue is that he seems to think that the electronic voting machines are rigged. Whether they are or not, the time to cry foul over rigged ballots was back when Al Gore, the snore was running against whatshisbucketplucket. You might remember the dimpled chads. It was highly thought, back then, that the election was rigged. We certainly did not hear any Republican complaining in 2008 that there might have been a problem with the election. Even the State Department of Elections has stated that they have received complaints from the dear sweet Republican Rigell’s office than from voters in Virginia. Speaking of over using public resources it would be nice if this much energy went into balancing the national budget or providing resources to deal with Ebola. Squeaky Wheel or just a cry baby? You decide.

Major League Baseball welcomed Jason Heyward and Andrelton Simmons into the Golden Glove winners club. The awards for both of these outstanding players continue to be impressive. Last week the dynamic duo took home Fielding Bible Awards too. Whether you are an Atlanta Braves fan or not celebrate the achievement of two players who have kept their noses clean and continue to advance the art of baseball. In a year where major league sports has been stained with spousal abuse, racism, and social crimes like shoplifting, it is nice just to celebrate a pair of guys who got it all right.

Seriously in the land of modern technology songstress Selena Gomez reports possible intruder for the third time. Fed up police tell the spaced out Gomez to just lock your door. The problem starts when Gomez returns home to find her front door unlocked. In a panic, because drama sells, she calls the PD insisting someone is in her mansion. When the police respond they find nobody there. Nothing is missing. No sign of forced entry. Um hello! The fourth time and there will be a fourth time because drama sells, should cost her $1M in fines. How crazy can you be if you cannot remember to lock your door in the LA area? The mega songstress should hire a doorman.

Yesterday at the AAA Texas 500 Keselowski tried to take it three wide coming out of a caution and clipped Jeff Gordon’s 24 car. The result was a spin-out and yet another caution. This is the second week in a row that Keselowski has been involved in some sort of altercation following an NASCAR race. Last week Matt Kenseth tried to clean Keselowski’s clock too. The overly aggressive Miller Lite driver, Brad Keselowski needs to take a chill pill. We all understand that this is a sport and that the stakes are high. There is also driver etiquette and going three wide from white to green is not the way to make friends at NASCAR especially when you are not on the last lap of the race. -15 for Keselowski.

Released into the custody of her parents, Amanda Bynes escapes and has been spotted roaming the streets of Hollywood. Bynes was recently an inpatient in a psych facility, but despite rumors remains under the conseratorship of her parents.
That is a sad situation because Amanda Bynes claimed that her father had molested her. There have been no immediate details about whether those claims are true or not. What is clear is that Amanda hates her parents, and those are the only two people who have stood in the way of her lunatic rampage. Is she dangerous? Probably. She is reported to be delusional. She was in an LA court today to plead her case that the conservatorship be removed. Because she has been deemed medically unfit to care for herself, the poor girl was not able to hire a lawyer.

The fate of aviatrix Amelia Earhart has fascinated investigators and historians since she and her navigator Fred Noonan disappeared without a trace over the Pacific Ocean in 1937, on the last leg of a historic round-the-world flight.
Now new evidence has been found which adds credence to one of the leading theories of what happened to the pair.
The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery, or TIGHAR, a group which has been investigating the mystery for years, has reported the discovery on a tiny atoll called Nikumaroro of a square of aluminum sheeting that they say most likely came from Earhart’s Lockheed Electra aircraft.

While no charges have been filed, the daughter of the late Joan Rivers, Melissa Rivers has retained powerhouse legal eagles to set the stage for a lawsuit that will be filed next month. The lawsuit is expected to be a medical malpractice case pitting the lawyer against lawyer in what could turn out to be a case worth millions of dollars. Personally, the late Joan Rivers was so consumed with surgery that her estate should be paying the doctors for the opportunity to die in the place she apparently loved the most, the surgical ward at a surgical clinic. Over the years, the poor woman’s face has been twerked more times than Miley Cyrus. The two, Joan and Melissa have always reminded me of two show business orphans, destined to do the more deplorable work to find enough food to eat. I was not a fan. Frankly, the whole case should be laughed out of court. When you have as many surgeries as Joan has had, the risks are there.

Jane Lynch and Lara Embry’s lesbian marriage came to an abrupt end in divorce court as ex wife Embry walks away with millions. The public document for their property settlement lists the spoils of war. This was one of the first same-sex-divorces of this calibre to end it divorce. Just like with straight couples, the other half gets half. Half of the bank account, half of retirement, half of the royalties from shows such as Glee. Oddly, Lara Ebry is a psychologist so you would think that the couple would have wanted to work out the issues of their hard won marriage before just dividing assets.

The 72-hour stay was extended for two weeks, and now her psychologists have asked for a court order to keep her as an inpatient for another 30 days. That has not stopped Amanda from trying to leave. She wants out, but her doctors have all the goods, and the judge agreed that poor Ms Bynes is too mental to be responsible enough to take care of herself. Now, it gets a little crazy. The parents had a court ordered conservatorship over Amanda. This would be the same parents, as in the dad, who Amanda claims sexually molested her. Thankfully, her parents have declined to seek another conservatorship over Amanda. That means that it is likely that the poor thing will be institutionalized for quite some time. What is an actress to do? I wonder if Angelina Jolie is following this case?

Fall is in the air and it’s a welcome, refreshing change from the hot, scorching summer of yesterday. Pumpkin lattes, fall festivals, and football frenzy are in the air. Many are welcoming cooler temperatures and watching the changing of the leaves. Fall is certainly a welcomed change.
However, something else is in the air, and the stench of it threatens to spoil this season’s festivities. As many gear up to celebrate Halloween, choosing the perfect costume or pumpkin to carve, mapping out their favorite trick-or-treat route, or scheming to prank friends and family, other traditions are being spun, and, quite frankly, those choosing to participate in this manner are showing a level of maturity lower than that of a unharvested sweet potato.

Kurt Sutter is the mastermind behind the widely popular show Sons of Anarchy. He was reportedly rushed off set and straight to surgery where he underwent an appendectomy. The news broke as Kurt instagrammed photos of his rebellious appendix. He is said to be recovering well and will likely be released in a day or two. This medical emergency is not expected to interrupt shooting for Sons of Anarchy.

So two things. First, is this the vision of what anyone who is suspected of being at risk for Ebola is prone to undergo? Second, where is the line drawn between patient rights and public safety?
Kaci Hickox is a nurse who works with Doctors Without Borders and who has been treating patients who have Ebola in Sierra Leone. After returning to the US nurse, Hickox was detained and quarantined for three days in an isolation tent inside of a New Jersey hospital, according to the New York Times.
