California Drought and the Super Storm Approaching
December 11th, 2014
CEO This week in the news there has been much discussion about the super storm approaching the Northern Coast of California. The coastal areas are expected to receive upwards of eight inches of rain while inland valley regions are expecting three to five inches of rain. Winds are also expected to be fierce with gusts between 60-80 miles per hour. If the wind speed is sustained, this will put this storm on par with a level 1 hurricane.
With the state in extreme drought conditions, the water is desperately needed. The problem is that dry land mixed with massive amounts of rain are likely to produce landslides. The environmental damage from this storm could be severe.

Growing up, laser weapons were a thing of comic books, and special effects from movies such as Star Wars. Today, the US Navy has stepped forward where others have not traveled and unleashed a new weapon that may make fighter jets obsolete.

Oops! The Skeletons have Fallen Out of Elizabeth Lauten’s Closet
December 5th, 2014
CEO He who points a finger at another has four pointing back at himself. Fingers are bad enough, but imagine dealing with the entire body. Once those skeletons fall out of the proverbial closet, the bones are tough to gather, and tougher to put back.
Former GOP Staffer Elizabeth Lauten can attest to this first hand. Certainly, everyone has read her tweet directed towards the Obama girls that was spurred on by what seemed to her as their lack of interest during the White House’s annual turkey pardoning. She chastised the girls, saying that should “show a little class and respect the part that (they) play” as First Daughters. She further chided them to dress like they deserve respect, not as if they were at a sports bar.
Speaking of sports bars……..

#Ferguson – When the Medicine Kills the Patient Rather than Cures the Disease
November 30th, 2014
CEO The death of Michael Brown seems to have become a focal point for many things, including the civil unrest. Does this have to be about blacks vs. whites? No, not really. Despite the premise that Michael’s death was racially motivated there seems to be more there about which people are not willing to talk.
What about how we live as people? Each a member of the family, that family a member of the community. It stands to reason then that how each of us lives our lives impacts the community in which we live. If you want to live in a better community, become better citizens. Yeah, easier said than done, but the premise is still there.

Is the NFL Cleaning House?
November 24th, 2014
CEO First we had LeGarrette Blount cut by Pittsburgh last week for leaving the game early. This is not even a full year job, and he cannot stay at the duty desk until his shift is over? Then we have Dominic Raiola from the Lions, who admits to not just unsportsmanlike conduct, but to conduct that could have ended the career of another player. What his penalty is to be is not yet known, but it should be cut from the roster. Then we have Marshawn Lynch, who will likely be fired from the team in what can only be described as childish behavior. After being punished for avoiding the media, he sits down and provides short, one-word answers. Aren’t there other players who want to play?
Facebook SCANDAL: Mark McDaniel Kicked Off Facebook
November 21st, 2014
CEO You might know Mark McDaniel better as the child molester dating Mama June. The king of social media ousted McDaniel because they have a rule about not allowing child molesters to use their site. Probably a good rule considering the number of children and teens who access Facebook. It is nice to know that someone in this relationship has a clear brain with which to think. It is clear that Mama June is only thinking about her VW sized vagina, and it is unclear what Mark McDaniels.

Mike Tyson’s Undisputed Truth – Must See Show
November 21st, 2014

Article and photo by Debbie Edwards
Boxing, Bitches, & Lawsuits…. what show on this planet would claim such a title? Actually, no show that I’ve ever attended has, but Mike Tyson in his one-man, off Broadway show, entitled “Mike Tyson’s Undisputed Truth”, encompasses those three subjects and much more. Most of us know Mike Tyson as the hard-hitting, controversial heavyweight who was the youngest to win the heavyweight championship of the world at the age of 20 years and four months old. Some of us know that he still holds the record for the quickest knockout in an amateur bout, accomplishing this feat in a mere 8 seconds. But very few of us know what makes the phenomena of Mike Tyson tick, what motivates him, what moves him, what touches his inner soul.
