February 6th, 2014 CEO In its latest series, TLC has spotlighted stories of sexual escapades gone oh so wrong. Over the course of its first four episodes, SEX SENT ME TO THE ER averaged 1.9M P2+ viewers and was the #1 premiere among all ad-supported cable on Saturday night in all key women demos (W25-54/18-49/18-34). Viewers will have no shortage of sexual mishaps to capture their attention as the breakout series has now been picked up for an additional 35 one-hour episodes. The series documents the real-life and often hilarious stories of what happens when passion turns to panic and leads to the ER. Exposing even more unbelievable sexual misadventures, SEX SENT ME TO THE ER will start filming this month and is slated to return on TLC in 2Q and run through the end of the year.
SEX SENT ME TO THE ER premiered on TLC as a four-part series on December 28 and is currently airing in encores on Saturdays at 10PM (ET/PT). Beginning episodes featured stories such as a 440lb. virgin who accidentally sent his girlfriend headfirst through a wall during his first time and a woman who went to the ER after experiencing a two-hour orgasm that wouldn’t stop. In 1999, I went to go see THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and a lot of hype surrounded it. Many contended that it was real footage and that those involved were, in fact, dead. Although I knew it was all nonsense, I allowed myself to believe in the story and it became a really fun experience. Over ten years later, I have had the same experience with PAUL MCCARTNEY REALLY IS DEAD: THE LAST TESTAMENT OF GEORGE HARRISON.
February 5th, 2014 CEO Don’t let the sun set on you in a sundown town. That’s what signs at the city limits of all-white communities warned when African-Americans were not allowed to live there or even visit after the sun set. This method of exclusion was often held by an official policy or restrictive covenant-. The practice of excluding blacks from American towns was so prevalent that, by 1936, it became the impetus for Harlem civic leader Victor Green to pen the Negro Motorist Green-Book, a guide designed to help African-American travelers avoid places where they could be harassed, threatened, or even killed. Today, it is illegal for sundown towns to exist on paper due to the 1968 Fair Housing Act, but some believe that communities remain sundown by reputation and reluctance to diversify. In the fourth installment of Investigation Discovery’s Black History Month anthology THE INJUSTICE FILES, filmmaker Keith Beauchamp takes a cross-country road trip to explore whether these exclusionary practices still exist today. On this episode of BUYING THE BAYOU, a family of four is searching for a bayou home to accommodate their large clan. They raise Catahoula Cur hunting dogs in Northeast Louisiana and with 35 dogs on their property they are looking for a big upgrade. Their business is booming and they need to find a huge bayou residence to house their hunting dogs!

Reggae singer William “Bunny Rugs” Clarke who was also the lead singer of the popular group Third World died yesterday at age 65 of Leukemia at his home in Florida.
Third World had several hits on the charts, but my personal favorite was “SENSE OF PURPOSE”. In 1985, I use to go a teenage nightclub, called Breaking Away, in a town called Brewster, in New York, almost every weekend.
The DJ would play “SENSE OF PURPOSE” and the entire club, including myself, would get up and dance to this great track. To this day, I still have it on wax in my record collection.
Our deepest condolences go out to the Clarke family in their time of grief…

About a year ago, I did my last interview for RSR and I would be remiss if I didn’t say, I truly missed doing them. Well, as Austin Powers had to do, I also found my “Mojo” and sought out someone I feel not only would be interesting, but without any doubts, could share a lot with the RSR readers on their career and the sport of boxing that our readers truly love…
In reaching out to Bern Nadette Stanis who played the very popular “Thelma Evans” on the 1970’s comedy sitcom, “Good Times,” which I was able to do through her website, which we will talk about later on in the interview, I found a lady who was not only extremely articulate, but truly passionate about her craft which she has been involved with for many years.

Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman who was beyond talented was found dead earlier today of an apparent drug overdose, according to a law enforcement official who requested not be named because he was not certain the actor’s family had been informed of the death. The apparent cause is a drug overdose, but cannot be confirmed at this time.

As a 12 year old, I discovered video stores and began raiding the horror sections. I began with FRIDAY THE 13TH, watching every entry of the series at the time, and moved on to the HALLOWEEN series. These were great times. I walked around the horror section and found a movie called “SLEEPAWAY CAMP,” and it boasted of a memorable ending. At this point, I was slasher crazy and was very eager to see one with an ending to remember, so I paid my two dollars and brought it home.

It is refreshing to see somebody stepping away from the normalcy of living to chase a dream and create something artistic and meaningful. Richard Smith and I have worked at the same place for years, and when I needed extras for FAMILY SECRET in 2009, he agreed, and was moved to a speaking role. Through his acting ability, he has made his way into two other features in much larger roles (SCARY TALES, SICKLE) and that’s when I began to hear of “A SAILOR’S HAIKU.”

It is often said that the best place to hide things is in plain sight. Maximilian Schell, who won an Oscar for his amazing portrayal of defense lawyer in “Judgment at Nuremberg,” has died at 83.
CNN has reported that Schell died at a hospital in Innsbruck, Austria, with his wife, Iva, at his side.
“He was suffering from a long illness,” Baumbauer said. “My mother was Schell’s agent for over 50 years, and when she died four years ago, he remained with the agency. He was like a father to me and knew me my entire life.”
