Regis Philbin – THE REAL STORY ON WHY HE IS LEAVING LIVE! WITH REGIS AND KELLY

October 25th, 2011 CEO

By Danny Allen

Over the Labor Day weekend I flew out to California to stay with some close friends from my old Hollywood Days. My dear/close friends Aldo Obarhagen and his wife Dolly, were top consultants for the I Love Lucy Show and years later, they worked on The Joey Bishop Show from 1967 – 1969. On Joey’s talk show, is where they met his sidekick Regis Philbin. I can remember when Aldo took me on the set when Joey had on Dean Martin and he had me in stitches calling me Pally. The likes of Martin’s talent will never be seen again. I have always felt he was much more talented and funnier than Jerry Lewis .

Michael Jackson’s FAMILY QUEST for MONEY and LIMELIGHT: FORMER ASSOCIATE Gives his THOUGHTS

October 25th, 2011 CEO

By Danny Allen

Last month was the 9/11 tenth anniversary, and I want to extend my utmost heartfelt wishes to all the families of loved ones lost to continue with the healing process. It was a tragic day that we will never forget. As I sat glued to my TV watching many of the amazing stories about behind the scenes heroes, I saw a separate news story on Jermaine Jackson taking to the airwaves that during his brother Michael Jackson’s child molestation trial he, along with other family members, had devised a plan to get Michael out of the country if he had been found guilty.

First of all, who knows if this is true, but it seems that several of the Jackson family members have tried to turn a buck on their dead brothers name and it’s getting disgusting. It always seems that either Joe his father, or Jermaine his brother are the main ones. Janet Jackson has shied far away from this nonsense which I think is a smart move and I am not surprised by it.

Tony Bennett DUETS II: Amy Winehouse – Billie Holiday Music CONNECTION

October 25th, 2011 CEO

By Danny Allen

In the late 1950’s, as I have mentioned before I worked for Errol Flynn who seemed to know everyone in the business from movie stars – to music stars. None were bigger and more talented than the late Billie Holiday. “LADY DAY” as she was known in the music world had a voice that was just amazing. To test my theory, pick up what I think is her greatest work on a Columbia album (I still say album, but I know this generation says CD) called LADY IN SATIN. One track amongst many that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up is YOU’VE CHANGED.

It was around 1956, and Errol had just finished shooting ISTANBUL that actually did decent box office returns and had the late/great Nat King Cole as his co-star who sang WHEN I FALL IN LOVE which was a smash hit for him. I was unable to go with Errol to shoot the movie even though he really wanted me too. I was stuck back in New York working a deal for Marlon Brando to star in SAYNORA which earned Red Buttons an Oscar of all people. Marlon always told me he loved that Red received that Oscar.

Charlie Sheen LAWSUIT DETAILS: INSIGHTS FROM HOLLYWOOD INSIDER

October 25th, 2011 CEO

By Danny Allen

Hello NewzBreaker readers… Sorry of my absence of columns as of late, but I had a medical procedure done. When you are in your late 70′s like I am, it takes longer to recover. I have been reading so much lately on Charlie Sheen because I was confined to my hospital room at Mount Sinai Hospital on Miami Beach. Great staff, but horrible food…. I am home now and thanks to many of your NewzBreaker emails for letting me know you enjoyed my columns. Your words are appreciated and always welcomed.

In 1985, I met Oliver Stone who had come to fame off his work in writing the screenplay for Al Pacino’s Scarface at a party through a producer buddy of mine name Al Ruddy who produced The Godfather amongst many other big productions. Oliver, and I hit off right away and we sat for hours talking about old Hollywood where he asked me repeated questions which I was full of stories to tell. Before the end of the night was out, Stone invited me to the set of his first really big movie he directed (he did others before like The Hand with Michael Caine), but none was a big budget as Platoon.

Tony Bennett SHOCKS THE MUSIC WORLD: Hollywood INSIDER DISCUSSES First MEETING

October 25th, 2011 CEO

By Danny Allen

Today, as I sit on my lawn chair in the backyard and have my breakfast, I can see out onto the Biscayne Bay which is beautiful and serene. As I fired up my laptop and checked my email, I had one from an old chum who still lives back in Hollywood named Billy Braverman. Billy and I did some work to help the late Tyrone Power get the role in the 1957 movie Witness for the Prosecution which also starred the late Charles Laughton. It was a great movie and yielded outstanding performances from both actors. I had actually met Power in an elevator a few years before in Jacksonville, FL when I was in town scouting some locations for a movie that slips me at this time. I immediately recognized him and we chatted for a few and had mutual chums we both were friendly with.

Ashton KUTCHER – Demi MOORE Hollywood Marital PROBLEMS: Hollywood INSIDER BREAKS SILENCE

October 25th, 2011 CEO

By Danny Allen

So today’s news is dominated by the recent information that Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are breaking up after several years of marriage. Is this true or a publicity stunt to get Demi’s career back on track? What we have here is the old movie STAR IS BORN storyline. However, instead of the female lead becoming the star, and the male lead becoming an ex-star, you have the opposite with Ashton Kutcher’s star reaching the stratosphere with his recent signing to replace Charlie Sheen on TWO AND A HALF MEN and Demi’s falling faster than quicksand for the time being.

October 25th, 2011 Geno

Terror on the Border (Unrivaled Books) by novelist Dr. Ernie Hunt is a riveting story so steeped in realism of the devastation wreaked by Mexican drug cartels that it is hard to believe it’s fiction!

Hunt’s lead character is Jack Cassidy, a fearless ex-sniper who wants justice! And he wants it for the oppressed citizens of San Miguel, Mexico, a town ravaged by violence inflicted by a malicious cartel, headed up by an egotistical madman and his evil enforcer.
