Texas Nurses Will Link Ebola to the Rest of the Nation

October 15th, 2014 CEO

By David Stillwell

You have to kind of wonder WTF is going on in Texas. Today the second Dallas Nurse has tested positive for Ebola. Did you know that Ebola has been around since 1976, according to CNN. According to the Wiki page on Ebola in West Africa, less than 5000 people have been confirmed to have died of Ebola. It’s been around for over 30 years. It is not airborne. The CDC says that it has to enter your body through a wound, cut or mucous membrane. So what do you need to stay Ebola Free:
• Latex gloves
• Ear loop mask to protect mucous membranes in your nose.
• Goggles to protect the mucous membranes around your eyes
• Disposable gown
• And disposable booties for your shoes.

Since we are talking about healthcare workers, good hand-washing techniques should also be a no-brainer.

Patricia Cornwell STUNS Fans – Breaking TV Deal Made

October 13th, 2014 CEO

By Anne Goetz

Fans of mystery writer, Patricia Cornwell, are rejoicing over news of her recent television deal with CBS.

Cornwell, who penned famed medical examiner, Kay Scarpetta, to life in her first novel, “Postmortem,” recently signed a deal to write an original pilot for CBS. And while the show won’t feature Scarpetta or her loyal cohorts Lucy, Benton, or Marino, odds are good the female San Diego detective around which the show is rumored to revolve will at least bear some likeness.

Siberan Craters & the Bermuda Triangle Connection

October 13th, 2014 CEO

By Bob Price

Three huge, mysterious craters discovered this year in Siberia could have a lot in common with the Bermuda Triangle, according to Russian scientists.

The craters were discovered in the vast, almost completely uninhabited Yamal and Taymyr peninsular areas of Siberia. One crater measures 262 feet across and 229 feet deep, and the other two are similar in size.

Their formation remains unexplained, sparking wide-ranging speculation, from gas explosions and meteorite strikes to UFO’s, black holes and Lovecraftian horrors emerging from the depths.

Ask Andi: Naked Pics, Bragging & Interracial Dating

October 12th, 2014 CEO

By Andi Goforth

One of the things that I find great amazement in is family dynamics. People can grow up in the same household, have similar DNA, share genetics, and yet turn out vastly different. Our environment shapes us, but in a lot of ways, we develop our own unique values and beliefs that are independent of what the closest of our relatives may have. Whether related by genetics or joined by marriage, we all have ideas of what is acceptable or not, and those values must be assessed and either reinforced or changed from time to time.

Lana Scolaro’s Whorish 15 Minutes of Fame – Entertainment News

October 12th, 2014 CEO

By David Stillwell

New stories are hitting the air about Robin Thicke and Lana Scolaro’s brief fling in a dingy side room at the party following the VMAs. One word; Whore. Not only is Robin Thicke quickly falling from fame as more drug induced statements and lying emerge over his “big hit” authorship, but also his marriage to Paula Patton is over. This is a man who cannot handle fame, or temptation. A story of a want-to-be who had it all and is slowly losing it.

We, however, already know his story. This is about a woman who would have sex with a man (and I use that word only anatomically speaking) in a side room at an After-Party and then waits a year to tell her disgusting story. It should not take much imagination to understand that she was likely paid cold hard cash to speak up about something so random and personal. What kind of woman has so little self-esteem as to allow Robin Thicke to bang her in a side room while his wife is patrolling the party looking for him? There is no dignity in this.

Senator John Walsh: Another Politician Living Up to the Name – World News

October 12th, 2014 CEO

By David Stillwell

Another lying, cheating politician makes the headlines in not just one rag, but within most of them. It seems like a right of passage. The moral decay of the U.S political corps is rank. However, as bad as it is to have lying, cheating politicians it becomes worse when you consider the roles that these people played before they hit the political circuit.

John Walsh was a Colonel in the U.S. Army National Guard an organization that has the motto “Always Ready, Always There.” It becomes difficult for me to hold my tongue when a member of such an honorable organization defaces the very image of servings one’s country. That service is based on trust and how do “We the People” continue to trust an organization that promotes a liar and thief to the rank of Colonel. This is a mess that muddies many different pools of water.

Bigfoot Exists – Breaking Skunk Ape News

October 10th, 2014 CEO

By Bob Price

Could Bigfoot really be an extraterrestrial visitor from outer space? That possibility will be one of many subjects discussed at the upcoming 7th Annual Pittsburgh UFO – Creature Conference, to be held on November 8th at the Westmoreland Community College. The conference is sponsored by the Mutual UFO Network of Pennsylvania.

The concept isn’t as farfetched as it may sound, according to Fred Saluga, MUFON director for both Pennsylvania and West Virginia. “There are two different fields of thought with Bigfoot, one that Bigfoot is flesh and blood and, two, that he is inter-dimensional or alien,” said Saluga.

Jan Hooks DEAD at 57: A Tribute

October 10th, 2014 CEO

By Anne Goetz

Actress and comedienne, Jan Hooks, died today in New York. She was 57.

Hooks rose to fame and fortune on the late-night cult favorite, Saturday Night Live, where she worked for five seasons from the late ’80s to early ’90s. She later had parts in the southern, gal-pal sitcom, “Designing Women, “and in movies such as “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure,”” Batman Returns” and “Simon Burch,” but she’ll perhaps always be best remembered by fans of SNL for her portrayal of flawed 80s icons Tammy Faye Bakker, Kathie Lee Gifford and even Nancy Reagan. (Don’t even consider moving the Limoges.)

By Susan Klatz Beal

As popular as reality television is today, if you asked any expert, writer or other knowledgeable person, what makes the genre so popular, you’d probably get the silent treatment. No, they aren’t trying to be rude. It’s just so hard to try to explain, rationalize, or even justify a phenomenon that amounts to turning nobodies into celebrities, almost overnight, and making them very rich in the process. But to some, maybe that’s a small price to pay for the big bucks these wannabe celebrities earn for airing their laundry on national television.

Ask Andi: Family, Weight Issues and Loneliness

October 6th, 2014 CEO

By Andi Goforth

“No man is an island”. Those words were written by John Donne, an esteemed poet, and are often quoted by people who understand that we need one another. Human beings are remarkable creatures, and in numbers, our strength is heightened.

However, we also have the ability as humans to suck the life out of one another, and that is unfortunate. Jealousy, immaturity, lack of respect, lack of mutual reciprocation of support and love may put undue weight on a person.

What is a friend’s role? How can family members support one another? And how should we handle other people’s insecurities about our lives and our successes? These questions and the answers to them are the common thread in today’s Ask Andi.

Paul Revere Dead: Tribute to Madman of Rock and Roll

October 6th, 2014 CEO

By Anne Goetz

The Madman of Rock and Roll is playing a new venue now.

Paul Revere, legendary front man of 1960s rock band, Paul Revere and the Raiders, died peacefully yesterday at his home in Idaho. He was 76.
In a tribute on the Raiders website, manager Roger Hart eulogizes his friend as the “driving force” behind The band, and speaks highly of the trademark humor that earned Revere the nickname Madman of Rock and Roll. Hart likens Revere and his Raiders to “a well-oiled machine with occasional spare parts.” And indeed, Revere toured with his band right up until two months before his death. He officially retired in August of 2014, and the band planned to carry on without him, billing themselves as Paul Revere’s Raiders.

Mega-retail monster, Walmart, has passed the buck and the blame down the line in the recent accident involving actor and comedian Tracy Morgan. Representatives for Walmart argue that Morgan and his fellow passengers should have been sporting seat belts when they were hit from behind by Walmart truck driver, Kevin Roper, along the New Jersey Turnpike in June.
Recent controversy surrounding the accident that proved fatal for writer and comic James McNair, aka Jimmy Mack, has focused on speculation that Roper was awake for the 24 hours preceding the incident. Whether it was a matter of driver fatigue remains to be proven, but Walmart apparently isn’t willing to take the chance.
