A rally in Southern California got ugly when a Detroit-based Neo-Nazi group was confronted by hundreds of protestors, leading to some traffic cones being hurled at the hate group.
About 80 members of the National Socialist Movement gathered yesterday to oppose illegal immigration and California’s version of the Dream Act, a program that allows undocumented students to receive financial aid.
Although there was some cone throwing, the event was considered peaceful. Jeff Schoep, of the National Socialist Movement stated to CBS that “illegal immigrants are coming to our country. They’re taking away our jobs, they’re causing our recession to get worse.”
There were no reported arrests at the rally.
